Dogs
 

If you bring dogs (those two in the pic are mine, Bruno and Murphy), whether you are walking them (they must be leashed) in the neighborhood or letting them out in the newly fenced back yard, please PLEASE pick up their poop.  There is a pooper scooper thingy by the back door to the garage, and there are little poop bags in the kitchen drawers to the right of the stove, or grocery bags under the kitchen sink.  My house cleaners don’t pick up dog poop – please don’t leave it for the next guest to step in.

 

There are two dog parks on the beach, one on each end of the island (parking lots 21.5 and 28.5), open sunrise to sunset, except during turtle season (5/1 – 10/31) when they’re open 7am to sunset.  Dogs must be on a leash at all times at the dog beach.  They are not allowed in other beach areas. 

 

Please remember that it’s hot here.  Don’t leave your dogs outside for too long and be sure to give them plenty of water.
